Purpose:
The Accounting Department’s purpose is to provide accurate financial analysis in a timely manner. This is done following the Generally Accepted Guidelines for both the United States and Japan, ensuring that the amounts reported are reliable and detailed.
Position Purpose:
We are looking for a passionate individual who will be actively involved in operations such as cost accounting and creating standard costs.
Duties and responsibilities: Cost Accountant
Maintenance of corporate Cost Accounting methodology and procedures
Oversight of periodic inventory counts and maintenance of inventory and controls
Collaborate with the Production team to understand the full production process
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand the accurate bill of materials as well as in-depth knowledge of the full production process.
Streamline inventory procedures and maintain consistent reports
Analyze cost absorption and perform variance analysis monthly
Interested in numbers, inventory control, transaction analysis, and journal entry
Required skills and qualifications: Cost Accountant
3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing cost accounting
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or any related field
Must have the ability to analyze large data sets
Strong understanding of cost methods
Proficiency in MS Suites (Excel, Outlook, etc)
Experience working with physical inventory within a manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication
Must be team-oriented and self-motivated
