Structural Steel Estimator

Company Description

We are seeking an apprentice and an experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a background in structural steel construction and miscellaneous metals.

Duties

- Utilize Tekla software to prepare accurate cost estimates for steel construction projects

- Manage project costs and ensure adherence to budget constraints

- Collaborate with construction teams to develop comprehensive project proposals

- Conduct on-site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information.

Qualifications (apprentice 1-2 years experience)

Some experience in steel construction estimating or held a position that allows the understanding of it.

Strong knowledge of steel construction principles

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications (experienced)

Proven experience in Structural Steel and or Misc. Metals (5 or more years)

Proficiency in Tekla or other software for cost estimation

Strong knowledge of steel construction principles

Ability to negotiate effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Detail-oriented and organized

Ability to meet timelines
