Principal Engineer

We’re looking for a visionary Principal Engineer to help shape the future of our technology landscape. You’ll guide the strategy behind new technologies and services that support residential, commercial, and enterprise customers.

In this high-impact role, you’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, Field Ops, and Leadership to evaluate and implement innovative solutions that align with our 3–5 year vision. You'll also represent the business in key industry groups like CableLabs and SCTE, helping us stay ahead of market trends.

Responsibilities

Stay ahead of industry trends and evaluate emerging technologies

Participate in technical committees and represent the company at events

Own and maintain the company’s internal technology portfolio

Provide high-level documentation for existing and new technologies

Lead technology evaluation, testing (POC), and implementation

Guide solutions for last-mile network strategy and infrastructure augments

Write RFPs/RFIs and review vendor proposals

Build and maintain vendor partnerships

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Master’s preferred)

10+ years of telecom experience with 5+ in Engineering or Operations

Broad knowledge of plant, network, CPE, and service delivery systems

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to align stakeholders and present to senior leadership

Skilled at managing vendor relationships and technical assessments

Proven experience guiding long-term technology strategy
