DevOps Engineer (Server & Infrastructure Operations)

Hybrid: 1x a week onsite in Orlando, FL

Optomi, in partnership with a premier client, is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead infrastructure and server-side operations. This Engineer join a lean, high-impact team responsible for managing complex server environments, optimizing CI/CD processes, and supporting private cloud infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring stability, scalability, and efficient deployments across the entire stack.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or System Administration roles

Expertise in Linux server administration and OS-level troubleshooting

Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines using: Jenkins

Jenkins (including deploying to databases and web apps)

Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)

Experience with Docker and container management

Ability to troubleshoot server performance (e.g., memory issues, CPU utilization, scaling/load balancing)

Strong knowledge of server architecture and infrastructure-as-code concepts

Experience deploying or managing Snowflake or similar database environments

Nice-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with Flask and Django web app environments

Understanding of ETL processes and application-level database support

Experience creating or managing load balancing setups

Exposure to UC4 or queue-based job processing systems

Familiarity with change management processes and access control best practices

Ability to form strong working relationships across tech teams

Team/Role Responsibilities

Own and maintain all server-side DevOps operations and tooling

Support CI/CD workflows for both application and database pipelines (including Snowflake)

Troubleshoot and scale infrastructure, add new servers (within our client's private cloud or potentially AWS)

Evaluate and optimize current processes, including load balancing and monitoring

Ensure continuity, redundancy, and scalability for all critical environments
