Who we’re looking for:
We’re hiring a General Manager to lead Pearl Edison’s field operations in Pennsylvania, helping us serve homeowners as the company white-labels its software for partners in the state. You’ll be asked to drive forward installations by working with homeowners and contractors, collaborate with the Growth team as we build and train contractor networks, and provide input to our Product and Engineering teams on the right things to “build” in software for all of our stakeholders.
Your day-to-day activities will help homeowners receive the right system design for their unique home and contractors improve their profitability by reducing their customer acquisition costs and increasing their project volume. Your work will initially be focused on home heating and cooling, but it will expand over time to encompass our broader mission of whole-home energy efficiency and electrification.
You’ll be one of our first ten hires - the first in your role - and will have the opportunity to shape operational processes, software products, and culture.
Ideally, you:
Are detail-oriented and have experience leveraging experts to get to the right solution, even if you don’t know what it is yourself
Enjoy sales and are excited about the relationship aspect of helping homeowners improve the comfort of their living space
Have the ability to build strong relationships with teammates, contractors, and partners
Can handle ambiguity
Are an excellent communicator
Are passionate about the mission of the company
It’s a bonus if you:
Have a science-based background
Understand the principles of building science and possess credentials via the Building Performance Institute (or similar)
Have experience in the residential home services space
Have experience working with a small team or start-up
In this role, you will:
Receive training on building science and home performance
Provide expert guidance on HVAC system design and pricing, ensuring system designs meet customer needs while maximizing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Shape the process for in-home assessments and energy audits for heating and cooling systems (bonus points if you have experience with other systems in the home)
Communicate with contractors on scope of work and project expectations
Work with the Product and Design team to build tools that make your life (and the lives of your team) easier and produce better outcomes for homeowners and contractors
What we provide:
$125K-$150K base salary
