Job Title: Senior Financial Reporting Data Analyst (Remote)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Reporting Data Analyst with a strong background in healthcare finance to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming complex financial data into actionable insights, driving informed decision-making across the organization. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and enhance reporting tools that support compliance, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, analyze, and maintain financial and operational reporting tools for healthcare-related metrics.

Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Extract and manipulate large datasets from ERP, EMR, and data warehouse systems to generate meaningful analysis.

Identify and analyze trends, variances, and key performance indicators to support business planning and budgeting.

Support the financial planning & analysis (FP&A) team with ad-hoc reporting and modeling.

Ensure financial data integrity and compliance with GAAP, healthcare regulations, and internal controls.

Partner with accounting, clinical, and operational teams to improve reporting processes and data accuracy.

Translate business needs into technical solutions through data visualization and automation using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (Master’s preferred).

5+ years of financial reporting or data analysis experience, including at least 3 years in the healthcare industry.

Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, payer contracts, cost accounting, and regulatory reporting (e.g., CMS, Medicare/Medicaid).

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and at least one BI platform (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Workday, SAP) and healthcare-specific systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).

Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting in a healthcare setting.

Knowledge of value-based care, population health metrics, and quality reporting.

Familiarity with Python, R, or other data analytics tools is a plus.
