Full Stack Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Engineer with a strong focus on backend development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Oracle, with a solid understanding of messaging technologies and Angular. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications that meet organizational needs and goals.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $50 - $57 / hr. w2

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and document detailed applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.

• Write and maintain complex systems and programs, ensuring they meet new functional requirements.

• Analyze organizational needs to develop and implement application systems.

• Provide application software development services or technical support in moderately complex situations.

• Conduct reviews of test plans and test data, ensuring well-designed, testable, and efficient code.

• Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions.

• Maintain software functionality and currency, addressing technical debt and gain.

• Actively participate in code reviews and integrate software components into a fully functional system.

• Apply security and privacy principles throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, ensuring software is updated with the latest features.

• Participate in the deployment process, adhering to all change controls.

• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing systems and platforms.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

• 5-7 years of experience in software development, preferably in the securities or financial services industry.

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Oracle.

• Proficiency in messaging technologies and Angular design skills.

• Strong backend engineering skills, with an 80/20 focus on backend development.

• Knowledge of application frameworks, containerization, and cross-platform interoperability.

• Ability to write good processing scripts and interact with databases.

• Strong teamwork and organizational skills.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
