We’re seeking an experienced RPG Programmer to join our IT team in Brooklyn, NY, supporting and enhancing our ERP systems—primarily Island Pacific—in a fast-paced, project-driven retail environment. This is a full-time, onsite role (5 days/week, non-negotiable) and offers the opportunity to work on critical initiatives that drive both our brick-and-mortar and eCommerce operations.

What You'll Do:

Support and maintain core ERP applications using RPG IV, RPG Free, ILE, CL, and embedded SQL on the IBM i (iSeries/AS400) platform.

Collaborate with business users, internal IT leadership, and vendors to troubleshoot issues and deliver enhancements.

Participate in fast-moving development projects, ensuring high-quality, on-time results.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and change control processes.

Work closely with the VP of IT and Programming Manager on assigned programming efforts.

What We’re Looking For:

10+ years of hands-on RPG programming experience in an IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment.

Deep understanding of retail operations, with preference for experience in brick-and-mortar and eCommerce environments.

Strong knowledge of Island Pacific ERP (Lawson ERP is a plus).

Experience with retail systems, SQL, and integration tools such as RLU, SDA, RPG Free Format, FTP/SFTP, PGP encryption, subfile programming, and barcode/label printing.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with strict deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

Background in retail ERP systems (e.g., Bed Bath & Beyond-style environments).

Experience integrating ERP systems with eCommerce platforms.

Strong SQL skills and comfort working in cross-platform environments.

This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing retail technology team while working with modern RPG methodologies and business-critical systems.
