Position: Network Engineer

Location: Onsite in Fort Worth, Texas

Network Engineer – Full-Time - On-Site

A growing retail organization is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its infrastructure team. This role reports directly to the head of enterprise infrastructure and plays a vital part in maintaining and expanding the company’s network systems across multiple locations.

What You'll Do:

Manage, configure, and deploy network equipment and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, SANs, and load balancers

Perform ongoing system and network maintenance, including patching, firmware updates, and applying security settings

Monitor system performance and availability, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations

Track and forecast resource usage to support scalability and uptime

Troubleshoot complex network and system issues (Level 2 and 3 support)

Follow internal policies for configuration and change management to maintain network stability

Stay informed on industry security standards and best practices to support secure network design

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement cybersecurity tools, protocols, and procedures

Participate in new location launches; travel will be required to assist with on-site installation and setup

Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

5+ years in a hands-on network engineering role supporting enterprise infrastructure

Strong background with firewall technologies (e.g., SonicWall, Palo Alto), Cisco switching, fiber networking, and wireless systems

Solid understanding of networking protocols such as VPN, NAT, IPSEC, VLAN tagging (802.1Q), and network authentication (802.1X)

Bonus Points For:

Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic platforms

Familiarity with tools like Arctic Wolf, Cortex XDR, Office 365 security stack, Proofpoint, or other cybersecurity platforms
