The primary function of this position is to perform the accounting functions of the firm and it's clients. This position requires strong accounting and technical skills.
• Maintain accounting for businesses and non-profit organizations
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger
• Prepare month-end and year-end activities
• Prepare and analyze financial reporting
• Prepare federal, state and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations & non-profits (1040,1065,1120,1120S,990)
• Process payroll, including filing all payroll tax reporting, W-2s & 1099s
• Provide QuickBooks training and support for bookkeepers and companies
• Other accounting and administrative tasks
The ideal candidate needs to have strong leadership skills, and experience with all company accounting activities. Experience with financial systems, business processes and internal financial control design is required. Experience with QuickBooks and/or Peachtree a major plus. Financial system implementation experience also a major plus.
Degree in accounting
2+ years of relevant experience
