Position Title: SQL Developer

Location: Washington, DC

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 per year

Position Summary:

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, reports, and data models. The ideal candidate will be From Banking or financial Firm and will support the organization’s analytical needs while ensuring high data availability and reliability through testing and support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data integration and reporting solutions

Design, develop, and deploy dashboards, reports, and data extracts using BI tools

Create and maintain SQL views, functions, and stored procedures to support analytics and reporting

Maintain documentation including data dictionaries and solution design records

Develop and manage ETL processes for application data integration

Collaborate with analysts and managers to define and fulfill reporting needs

Respond to ad hoc data requests by building custom queries and SSRS reports

Keep up with technological advancements to enhance and modernize systems

Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2012 or later), including T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, and SAP Business Objects

Proficient in writing dynamic SQL, triggers, functions, stored procedures, and using flow control

Solid understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and enterprise database concepts

Experience in the banking industry with strong knowledge of lending and deposit products preferred

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts such as dimensional modeling and data mining

Strong grasp of database management systems, OLAP, and ETL frameworks

Experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Oracle BI

Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
