Cloud Solution Architect

I am currently sourcing candidates for a Cloud Solution Architect who has 10+ years as a Solutions Architect and has multi-cloud platform experience in addition to infrastructure as code tools. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role that will work hybrid and or onsite 5 days a week in Washington, DC. This position requires candidates to be public trust eligible.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

10+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role

Strong expertise in enterprise IT architecture, systems integration, and software development

Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including services like EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Azure App Service, and GCP Compute Engine

Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

Strong risk management skills, including the ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks within IT systems and networks

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, including software engineers, management, clients, and vendors

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Relevant certifications (e.g., DevOps, TOGAF, Azure Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Architect) are a plus
