Controller

Fast growing private equity backed B2B services company is looking for a dynamic Controller to join the team! This position will oversee a growing accounting team of 15 and reports to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

Prepare and publish timely and accurate monthly financial statements.

Manage and oversee annual audit and tax preparation

Communicate and report out the financial performance to the Executive Team and Private Equity Ownership

Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

Ability to deal effectively with the technical accounting issues that arise from changes in the business.

Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Maintain reporting requirements with financial institutions including compliance reporting.

Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience

7-10 years’ of progressively responsible experience in management

Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and tax knowledge

Experience in gathering, evaluating, presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders

Strong understanding and application of generally accepted accounting principles and practices

Commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining a diverse team and ability to delegate accordingly

Keen analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation

High proficiency with MS Excel and Word including complex pivot tables
