IBM/INFOR System Administrator

Position: IBM/INFOR System Administrator

Company: NAPCO Security Technologies, a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of electronic and mechanical security systems for over 40 years, headquartered in Amityville, Long Island NY, seeks an IBM/INFOR Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems, by working with Infor XA on ISERIES and with a strong understanding of IBM i architecture, commands.

Responsibilities:

• Perform system maintenance tasks, such as systems backup, recovery, and file maintenance to promote uptime and efficient performance.

• Acquires, installs, and tests system software upgrades and computer components.

• Configure software and resolve technical problems.

• Maintains documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures.

• Manage Infor XA including user roles, workflows, and troubleshooting application-specific issues.

• Assisting users with XA issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field required.

• 3 to 5 years’ experience with ISERIES

• 3 to 5 years’ experience with Infor XA, with hands-on experience in:

Customer Order Management (COM)

Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

Procurement

Inventory Management (IM)

Finance modules

Advanced planning and scheduling tools

In-depth knowledge of XA data models

Troubleshooting system errors

SQL proficiency is required
