Pharmacy Technician
Location of Assignment (address): 4343 Equity Drive, Columbus, OH 43228
Contract Length: 3 months, potential for extension or conversion pending performance and business needs
Hourly Pay Rate:
$18.50–$19.50/hour – Pharmacy Technician Trainees (0-2 years of experience)
$20–$21/hour – Certified or Registered Techs with (3+ years of experience)
$21–$22/hour – Certified or Registered Techs with (5+ years of experience)
Target Start Date: As soon as possible, pending completion of new hire onboarding items
Schedule:
40 hours per week
Monday-Friday - 6:00 am to 10:00 pm (multiple shift options available)
Saturday-Sunday - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (rotating with team)
Training will be from 9am-5pm for the first week of work

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Pharmacy Team in our bustling mail order environment. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a pivotal role in pharmacy support, assistance to the pharmacists, patients, and providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions.
Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and expiration date monitoring.
Process prescription orders, inputting information accurately into the computer system.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Maintain organized and clean workspaces, including the pharmacy counter and storage areas.
Handle insurance claims and process billing information for prescription orders.
Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of information.
Help with the packaging and labeling of medications for distribution.
Follow pharmacy regulations and protocols to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on pharmacy practices and developments.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in customer support, service, or success roles, preferably in healthcare and/or high-growth startups (1+ years).
Experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on details.
Pharmacy Technician certification is required (at trainee level or above); assistance can be provided in obtaining this certification.
Upon acceptance of offer, candidates will be required to submit to a 7-year background check and urine panel drug screening. Candidates must also verify their highest level of completed education. Accepted documents for verification are transcripts, diplomas, or verification directly from the school. Confirmation of standing with the OHBP will also occur.
