Position: Director, New Business Development – Public Sector
*This role will require that the selected candidate live and work in Central Ohio.
Role Overview: As a Director of New Business Development for the Public Sector, you will be instrumental in engaging with government clients, demonstrating how our solutions can transform their business visions and constituent goals into measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Growth & Strategy: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective government clients, craft and execute effective sales strategies tailored to the public sector to achieve revenue targets.
Build Strategic Partnerships: Establish and nurture relationships with State Agencies and Departments to identify joint business opportunities, enhance service delivery, and ensure a seamless approach to meeting client needs.
Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Monitor regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and industry trends in government payment processing to refine business development strategies and identify new growth areas.
Lead Proposal & RFP Development: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, RFPs, and presentations, effectively communicating our value proposition to government stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Uncover and Evaluate Opportunities: Identify new Department & Agency opportunities and leverage existing relationships that align with our strategic growth and development plans.
Lead Negotiations: Conduct thorough research to develop and lead negotiations, serve as the main point of contact, and report to the CRO.
Leadership and Coaching: Partner with and coach G2O employees to ensure they fully understand our mission and vision, motivating them to exceed client expectations.
Brand and Culture Ambassador: Represent our brand, messaging, and culture to teammates and clients.
Subject Matter Expert: Contribute to thought leadership by identifying industry trends and incorporating them into client work.

Education & Experience:
Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in business is preferred, but equivalent experience is also valued.
Experience:
Proven track record in uncovering and opening new customer opportunities within the public sector
Strong history of successful sales and revenue growth focused on the public sector.
3-5+ years of consulting industry experience.
Previous employment within the State of Ohio is welcomed.
Experience in developing client relationships and delivering well-structured projects.
Recognition as an authority in a particular industry function or domain.
Collaborative experience with executives and teammates to deliver customized solutions.
Visibility in the industry and viewed as a thought leader and trusted adviser.
