IT Systems Administrator

A growing client located in Columbus is seeking an IT Systems Admin. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of IT systems, including servers, networks, and workstations, ensuring they are running efficiently and securely.

Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring timely resolution.

Manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points, to ensure robust and secure connectivity.

Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus, firewalls, and data protection, to safeguard the company’s IT assets.

Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring compatibility and security compliance.

Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures to support ongoing operations and future upgrades.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, with a strong background in server and network management.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are highly desirable.

Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and network management tools.

In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, security best practices, and troubleshooting methodologies.
