Construction Accounting Manager

My client is a highly successful and well respected Construction organization in Northern NJ. They are looking for a Construction Accounting Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and will have significant visibility to Executive Leadership. Great benefits and work environment!

Responsibilities:

Oversee the financial operations of the company

Preparation of monthly financial reports for construction projects

Percentage of completion accounting

Month end close reconciliations and journal entries

Job cost budgeting and reporting

Risk management

Cash flow management to ensure projects are properly funded

Ensure compliance with all accounting standards

Construction loan draws

Lien releases and preliminary notices

Maintain internal controls and integrity of financial data

Management of AP and AR

Payroll

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in Construction or Engineering industry in accounting

Strong knowledge of job costing, project management and percentage of completion accounting

Prior public accounting preferred

Strong Excel

ECMS software a plus

CPA a plus
