Senior Agile Business Analyst – Capital Markets
Location: New York City (Hybrid – 2–3 days in-office)
Salary: Up to $160,000 + Bonus
A leading name in software consultancy – known for delivering cutting-edge solutions to top-tier financial institutions – is seeking a high-calibre Senior Agile Business Analyst to join a critical programme of work in the Capital Markets space.
This opportunity is tailored for a BA who’s equally comfortable dissecting complex fixed income instruments and navigating the fast-paced delivery cycles of major investment banks. You’ll play a central role in defining business needs and ensuring that what gets built is aligned with both commercial goals and regulatory obligations.
The Role
You’ll be embedded in cross-functional Agile teams, responsible for translating business problems into actionable solutions. Key responsibilities include:
Leading requirement-gathering activities for major initiatives across Capital Markets, with a strong focus on fixed income products.
Acting as a go-between for business and technical stakeholders, making sure nothing gets lost in translation.
Running workshops and discovery sessions, helping teams prioritise work and define clear outcomes.
Documenting current, future, and transitional state processes – always looking for optimisation opportunities.
Supporting UX and system design from a user and value-first perspective.
Collaborating on UAT and release planning, ensuring the delivered solution meets the brief.
Proactively identifying delivery risks and managing communications with key business sponsors.
Playing a hands-on role in Agile ceremonies and helping to drive momentum across the team.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and analytical professional with:
Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within Capital Markets environments.
In-depth knowledge of fixed income – including bonds, debt instruments, and their full lifecycle.
Strong delivery track record across complex technology change initiatives.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to operate across front, middle, and back office teams.
Familiarity with Agile frameworks like Scrum or SAFe.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory demands in the financial services sector.
Experience driving process improvement and system enhancement workstreams.
The ability to work both autonomously and as a mentor or leader within delivery squads.
Why Join?
This is your chance to work for a consultancy that’s genuinely respected by the biggest names in global finance – where innovation and quality delivery go hand-in-hand. You’ll be trusted with responsibility, backed by smart colleagues, and exposed to a broad portfolio of work.
