This firm is seeking an experienced Technology Manager to serve as the Head of Data Engineering. The perfect candidate will be part of the Enterprise Technology team, driving innovation and establishing technological excellence. They will ensure the organization remains a tech leader by delivering effective solutions. The role involves overseeing the management and integration of both structured and unstructured data, while collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate technological needs. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision, business expertise, and knowledge of AI/ML trends with strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop data architecture and workflows for business applications, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.
Evaluate and adopt advanced data management and integration solutions to boost innovation and efficiency.
Partner with stakeholders to align technological initiatives with business objectives and manage data governance strategy.
Create and manage high-performing data engineering and data science teams.
Build and optimize data warehousing systems, ETL/ELT workflows, and third-party app integrations while ensuring data accuracy and implementing best practices organization-wide.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
Proven track record as a leader in data engineering or a similar role within a complex, technological environment.
Strong leadership, team-building, and mentorship abilities.
Exceptional organizational skills, combined with a results-driven approach.
Strategic thinker with the ability to address high-priority operational challenges when needed.
Proficiency in modern data management tools, such as Python, SQL, NoSQL databases, data lakes, vector databases, ETL/ELT processes, data validation techniques, and REST APIs.
Experience with AI/ML technologies and frameworks, including RAG pipelines, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
Expertise with third party platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and Redshift, as well as visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI; familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
Knowledge of platforms like Salesforce and NetSuite is an advantage.
Salary Range: $250,000 - $450,000 Per Year
