Scrum Master / IT Project Manager
The Scrum Master is responsible for maximizing value delivery to the customer by guiding Agile teams through Scrum best practices and fostering a collaborative environment. This role blends traditional project management responsibilities—such as scope, budget, and risk management—with hands-on Agile facilitation. The Scrum Master also supports product owners and development teams by documenting requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and participating in testing activities.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as a servant-leader to the team and product owner in translating requirements into functional software.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Track progress and support the team in meeting sprint commitments; identify issues early and collaborate on corrective actions.
Manage and report on scope, schedule, resource allocation, and project financials.
Extract and document business requirements; author user stories and clearly define acceptance criteria.
Ensure adherence to Agile processes and foster team alignment with best practices.
Champion product quality by clarifying expectations and coordinating work related to defect resolution, refactoring, and reducing technical debt.
Balance stakeholder interests, mediating between the product owner and development team when necessary.
Identify and remove impediments to ensure focus on high-value engineering tasks.
Lead conflict resolution and proactively eliminate collaboration barriers.
Minimize external distractions to protect team productivity.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by facilitating retrospectives and promoting iterative enhancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) required.
Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills; comfortable facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teams.
Solid understanding of Agile estimation and scoping practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience Requirements
Proven experience as both Scrum Master and IT Project Manager in network-related initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple significant projects concurrently.
Prior experience in network services or infrastructure project delivery.
Hands-on experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools and Agile frameworks.
