Our real estate client needs an Interim Fund Accounting Manager to backfill a leave of absence for ~5 months. This is a hybrid role.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fund Accounting Manager to oversee and support key financial operations during a temporary leave of absence. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and coordination with external auditors and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation of periodic financial statements and the corporate annual report.
Ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP and other relevant financial reporting standards.
Collaborate with external auditors, providing required documentation and support for the annual audit process.
Review departmental budget reports and assist in the preparation of the annual corporate budget.
Maintain and update accounting policies and procedural documentation.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes and procedures.
Desired experience:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related
CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred
3+ years' professional accounting experience in real estate / financial services
Proven experience with month-end and quarter-end close
Balance Sheet reconciliations
Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and reporting
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
