Job Title: Systems Analyst 2 (Hybrid Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis)
Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX (1 Day Onsite/Month)
Type: Contract (40–50 hours/week)
We are seeking a Systems Analyst 2 to join a dynamic team focused on improving operational efficiency through thoughtful systems analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed root cause analyses of recurring system and workflow issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, support, development, and operations) to implement lasting solutions.
Evaluate current workflows to identify bottlenecks and recommend automation or optimization strategies.
Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Provide documentation on user needs, program functions, and development steps.
Monitor system performance and use data insights to guide decision-making.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment between business goals and technology solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience working proactively and reactively to solve technical and process-related issues.
Strong coordination and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work under limited supervision with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Creative problem-solver with a track record of out-of-the-box thinking and process innovation.
Preferred Experience:
4+ years working with root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5-Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, Pareto charts).
Experience with IT service reliability and continuity through problem management practices.
Strong understanding of problem lifecycle: identification, investigation, resolution, closure, and communication.
Familiarity with standard ITSM concepts and continuous improvement methodologies.
2+ years of ETL experience, including data extraction from diverse sources for analysis.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
ITIL Certification or Azure Data Factory (ADF) certification is a plus.
Work Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST
Hybrid Setup: 1 day/month onsite; otherwise remote
