Position Summary:
We are seeking a ServiceNow ITOM Developer/Architect with extensive technical and hands-on experience that includes a consistent track record of successful implementations of ensuring assets and/or configuration items are managed and the relationships between them.
As a ServiceNow ITOM Developer/Architect, you will be directly responsible for ServiceNow Discovery, as part of the ServiceNow Engineering team, playing a critical role in the modernization of how we ensure assets and/or configuration items are managed and the relationships between them. You will work closely with the Platform Architect to refine ServiceNow platform requirements and complete the development of the agreed upon solution.
This role provides a unique growth opportunity to use your experience, communication, and problem-solving skills to maintain an accurate and reliable CMDB. The ideal candidate will demonstrate their extensive scripting capabilities in one or more of the common languages used by ServiceNow, including Java, HTML, Angular, etc.
Responsibilities:
Led the strategy and design of ServiceNow ITOM initially focusing on Discovery data integration into the CMDB
Collaborate with Product Management and the rest of the ServiceNow leadership team to drive the implementation of new ITOM capabilities as part of the overall ServiceNow roadmap
Lead efforts related to consuming additional data sources into the CMDB
Work collaboratively across business and technology services to evolve and mature CMDB
Key SME on various company-wide and IT initiatives which have a CMDB impact
Communicate changes to Discovery that will impact the SACM data or processes
Stay current on ServiceNow products and applicable ServiceNow Discovery and integration technologies related to the CMDB, CSDM, Configuration Management, and SACM
Support, enhance, and maintain existing out of box and custom patterns to discover on-premise and cloud infrastructure
Develop and implement Discovery patterns
Drive Discovery remediations and/or troubleshooting efforts either on request or proactively
Provide visibility to performance and issues related to Discovery
Provide direction and support to junior team members
Mitigate risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior
Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in architecting and implementing ServiceNow ITOM (IT Operations Management) capabilities across multiple departments
Proven experience leading the strategy and design of ServiceNow ITOM, with an initial focus on Discovery data integration into the CMDB
Experience with the initial deployment of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping
Experience in maintaining and enhancing existing ServiceNow Discovery, particularly in a hybrid environment that includes both on-premises and cloud infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and ITI certifications (Foundations v3 or v4)
Knowledge of a broad range of ServiceNow Applications, such as CSM, ITSM, ITOM, HR, SecOps, GRC, and Employee Center
Design / Develop ServiceNow Tables, Fields, Forms and Access Controls
Demonstrable experience in ITOM operational aspects of the IT environment such as monitoring, performance management and automation
Extensive knowledge with crafting Business Rules, ACL’s, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Macros, UI Scripts, Catalog Forms, etc.
Use JavaScript to develop solutions for requirements that can’t be satisfied through configuration
Solve and repair common configuration issues
Automate activities on the ServiceNow platform using Flow Designer and/or Workflow Engine
Build data sets and transform maps for importing data from other sources into ServiceNow
Deep technical knowledge of integrating ServiceNow with external systems, such as AD, SSO, SCCM, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Jira, etc. using JDBC, REST, SOAP, Integration Hub
Bachelor's degree in IT related field or equivalent work experience
Experience working in a regulated industry such as finance is a plus
Additional Qualifications:
Minimum 7+ years IT-related experience
Experience working in an Agile development environment is strongly preferred
Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously
ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification is a plus
ServiceNow CSA Certification is a plus
