Senior Software Engineer (Commodities Trading)

Join the front office technology team at one of the largest integrated energy and commodity trading firms in the world.

With your expertise in C#, SQL, and Commodities markets, you’ll be building proprietary tools that support traders, risk managers, and middle office users across the business. You’ll work directly with stakeholders on a multi-year initiative to modernize and expand the firm’s in-house platforms, developing high-performance systems that run across hybrid cloud environments and real-time messaging architectures.

Ideally you have at least seven years of experience building enterprise applications, with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming and modern DevOps practices. You’re also confident working with technologies like Kafka, React, and Kubernetes, and you’re motivated by complex technical challenges in fast-paced trading environments.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Houston with a high level of visibility and ownership. You’ll be the local lead, driving technical decisions and representing the technology team in front of the desk. Salary is flexible dependent on expectations and years of experience.
