Senior CICS Programmer - (Remote- CICS, MQ Middleware, Db2)

Optomi in partnership with an industry leader is seeking an experience CICS programmer to join their team. This person will help to manage the CICS mainframe environment with a high performing and established mainframe team.

Responsibilities:

Managing CICS environment and performing upgrades as needed

Utlizing various Middleware tools like MQ

Monitoring application system performance and working closely with development and application teams

Utilizing Db2 as a database system for data storage and management

Any experience utilizing automation tools such as Ansible is a plus

Experience working on a small mainframe team preferred

Ability to work a remote long-term contract/contract to hire role with occasional travel

Previous CICS Mainframe management experience

Experience with MQ and other middleware platforms

Db2 database experience

Experience with feature implementations and previous experience with a strong focus on application performance

Any automation (Ansible or other tools) and experience in a sysplex mainframe environment is a plus (not required)
