Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite 3-4 Days a Week)

Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. This role will primarily focus on Cisco, VMware, Palo Alto, WAN, and BGP technologies, with a strong emphasis on routing, new site configuration, and cloud service integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with O365, Azure cloud services, and advanced network security concepts. This position requires someone with expertise in network engineering and a passion for problem-solving in a dynamic environment. The position will require onsite presence 3-4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Cisco Technologies:
Manage and configure Cisco routing, switching, and wireless networks.
Configure Port Authentication using Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
Ensure optimal network performance through regular monitoring and troubleshooting.
Routing:
Primary focus on routing protocol configurations, including BGP.
Troubleshoot and resolve routing issues affecting WAN performance.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and scalability.
New Site Configuration:
Lead new site configuration efforts, including rack, stack, and cabling.
Support Test and Turn Up (TTU) processes to ensure readiness of new locations.
Provide on-site installation and setup for new network infrastructure.
VMware:
Support and manage VMware environments, ensuring stable virtual networking.
Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing virtual network performance.
Palo Alto:
Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring proper security measures are in place.
Implement and optimize access rules for secure network traffic.
Configure and maintain Site-to-Site VPNs for secure remote connectivity.
Ensure high availability of Internet access by implementing dual ISP handoff for redundancy.
O365 Email and Cloud Services:
Manage and support O365 email services.
Oversee cloud service integrations and optimizations.
Azure Cloud Services:
Implement and maintain Azure cloud solutions, including Blob Storage, ExpressRoute, and Private Link.
Support cloud-based networking and connectivity within Azure.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
Hands-on experience with VMware and network virtualization.
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security solutions.
Strong proficiency in BGP, WAN, and routing protocols.
Experience with cloud technologies, specifically Azure (Blob storage, ExpressRoute, Private Link).
Ability to manage and troubleshoot complex network configurations.
Knowledge of O365 and cloud-based email systems.
Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Must be onsite in Austin, TX 3-4 days per week.Preferred Certifications:
