Controller

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead all accounting operations and support strategic decision-making through improved financial reporting and analysis. This onsite role is critical to our continued growth and success and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, A/R, A/P, payroll, and month-end close

Lead and mentor a team of two accounting staff

Produce timely and accurate financial statements and management reports

Develop and implement a formal budgeting and forecasting process

Analyze client profitability and work with leadership to identify improvement opportunities

Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant financial regulations

Improve internal controls and accounting procedures as the company scales

Manage relationships with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial institutions

Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to support strategic initiatives and business planning

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)

6 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a growing company or professional services/outsourcing environment

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

Experience implementing budgeting processes and improving financial systems

Excellent analytical skills with a focus on actionable insights

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Hands-on management style with a proactive and collaborative approach

Exceptional communication and leadership skills
