TeePublic is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join its team. This individual will be a highly motivated and organized self-starter with the ability to contribute to infrastructure development at multiple layers of abstraction. About the Job
As an engineer supporting the TeePublic marketplace, you will be part of a team that values continuous improvement and integration. We ship code multiple times a day with a low-friction process that relies on zero-downtime deployment, rigorous monitoring, and regular site performance analysis.
As a member of the Platform & Operations team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to scale our global E-commerce platform with both technical infrastructure advancement and best-in-class internal tooling. Your responsibilities will intersect with every engineering team at TeePublic, and your efforts will have a tangible impact on the company’s ability to meet a rising demand and continue to deliver a speedy, reliable, and overall delightful experience to thousands of artists and millions of customers.

What You’ll Do
Drive incremental upgrades to platform dependencies while evolving infrastructure as code practices with Terraform
Implementing infrastructure projects that target key scaling needs
Instrumenting site infrastructure with valuable health and performance metrics
Empowering your peers to do their best work with flexible on-demand load testing, CI/CD tooling, and reliable development environments
Owning technical projects through implementation proposals, architecture reviews, story writing, and retrospective debriefing
What You’ll Bring
1 - 3 years of experience with AWS products (RDS, EC2, S3, Route53, Cloudfront)
1 - 3 years of experience with relational databases (we use PostgreSQL)
1 - 3 years experience with Docker in production and local environments
1 - 3 years experience with APM tools like NewRelic or Data Dog
1 - 3 years experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
Experience with Agile project management

AWS Certifications
Experience with Cloudlfare
Experience in writing and/or supporting Ruby on Rails or Python applications
Experience supporting non-relational databases (e.g., Redis, DynamoDB, Mongo)
Experience as a Database Administrator
Experience as a Linux System Administrator or similar IT Profession
Experience or certifications with networking technologies
Experience with ElasticSearch, Kafka, Snowflake, Airflow, or Astronomer

In pursuit of pay equity and fairness, the starting annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be $110k - 130k. The final offer may be determined by a number of non discriminatory factors, including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. All employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as stock-based compensation, which are awarded to employees annually, subject to board discretion.
