Salary Range: 130,000−160,000 + Equity

We're looking for Founding Technical Recruiter for a well-funded Series A startup building artificial general intelligence (AGI) solutions for the financial services industry. Backed by top-tier investors including Y Combinator and specialized fintech VCs, they're transforming how financial institutions operate. The team of Stanford alumni and industry experts is growing rapidly, and they need your help to build our world-class engineering organization.
The Opportunity:
As the first dedicated Technical Recruiter, you'll have the unique opportunity to:
Build our technical hiring function from the ground up
Define and implement our recruiting strategy and processes
Partner directly with founders to shape our engineering team's growth
Create an exceptional candidate experience that becomes our competitive advantage
Scale our team from 25 to 100+ in the coming year
Looking For:
3-5 years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth startups
Proven track record of sourcing and closing top engineering talent (AI/ML experience a plus)
Ability to evaluate technical candidates without heavy oversight
Experience building recruiting processes from scratch
Strong network of engineering talent in the Bay Area
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Must be willing to work onsite in San Francisco
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience recruiting for AI/ML or fintech companies
Background in university recruiting
Previous experience as the first recruiter at a scaling startup
