THE ROLE :
The Business Excellence & Development Manager is a key role within the CMA CGM INLAND SERVICE team and is responsible for driving high performance and excellence of the Transport Planning, Cost Control and Fleet operations teams. This role provides strategic development and excellence for all Landside services; manages landside services and costs and is a key driver for the corporate CIP (Cost Improvement Program) for Landside operations. The role is located in the LIS or HAM office.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Steering of the planning, execution and service recovery activity in accordance with service and cost criteria to improve quality
Business development incl. increase of GPS data coverage with the local teams
Develop & run a Customer Satisfaction Survey including a full review and action plan creation to improve
Support the Cluster Management in HO Management reporting
Support the Cluster Management in preparation if meetings
Ensure that future transport demand requirements are anticipated and communicated within the business
Recommend and implement operational and organisational improvements
Lead the Cost Improvement Program
Ensure that good communication is maintained between CCIS and Customers
Maintain and build strong relationships with Internal departments, Head Office, customers and vendors
Review operational performance to ensure Service and cost parameters are met in accordance with KPI‘s
Ensure compliance with Company Internal Audit requirements
Ensure records are maintained in accordance with company procedure
Work to HO budget and identify where this isn’t achieved
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Experience within the Transport/Logistics/Shipping industry
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar environment
Possesses excellent level of Transport/Warehouse and Shipping Knowledge
Customer Focussed/Service Orientated
Highly numerate with experience of managing significant cost budgets
Excellent negotiation skills
Excellent presentation skills and proficient in the use of MS Office applications
High analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-driven with ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships across all level
