With a passion for smart growth, design, and long-term value, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team and oversee all accounting operations.

Position Overview

The Controller will lead the financial management of the company, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has prior experience in real estate development or construction accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and bank reconciliations

Maintain and manage QuickBooks accounting software for all entities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Track and report on project costs, construction draws, and development budgets

Coordinate with lenders and investors for financial reporting and capital calls

Handle intercompany transactions and entity consolidations

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and tax filings

Support year-end audit and tax preparation with external CPA firms

Lead and develop a small accounting/admin team

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate development or construction

Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (Enterprise or Online)

Deep understanding of job costing, development accounting, and financial reporting

Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented

Ability to communicate effectively with internal team members, investors, and third parties
