As a Client Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering long-term client relationships, and driving revenue growth in the Charleston market. You will collaborate with internal teams, attend industry events, and develop proposals to expand HTI’s footprint in the market. With the ability to identify new prospects, provide tailored solutions, and represent HTI at industry events, the Client Acquisition Specialist will directly impact business growth and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
• Proactively participate in all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting, phone calls, meetings, proposals, and presentations.
• Entertain established and potential clients through lunch meetings, networking events, and associated entertainment functions.
• Assist in the development of presentations, proposals, and sales contracts for all core service lines.
• Negotiate terms of proposals and secure signed agreements.
• Utilize CRM and other sales tools to maintain accurate records of prospects and client interactions.
• Assist with the new business budgeting process to align sales efforts with company goals.
• Participate in the development of sales budgets and revenue forecasting.
• Collaborate Across Departments and work closely with internal teams to align business development efforts and optimize client solutions.
• Maintain accurate information in CRM and adhere to established sales processes.
• Represent the company with professionalism in appearance, communication, and demeanor to reflect positively on HTI and the sales team.
• Proactive calendar and schedule management to ensure preparedness for upcoming meetings, including appropriate attire.
Client Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary contact for new clients, addressing concerns and ensuring seamless service delivery.
• Responsible for cross-selling service lines within existing client base.
• Establish strong, long-term relationships with clients through regular check-ins, updates, and ongoing support.
• Attend networking events, client meetings, and entertainment functions to enhance client engagement.
• Assist in the development of presentations, proposals, and sales contracts for all HTI service lines.
Marketing & Sales Support
• Utilize CRM and other tools to track sales activities and manage client interactions.
• Assist in the development of marketing materials and written content for potential clients.
• Represent HTI at trade shows, job fairs, seminars, and industry events to promote business opportunities.
• Support sales projects and sales campaigns; including candidate marketing and quarterly sales initiatives.
• Stay informed on market trends, industry changes, and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies accordingly and to serve as consultant to be relevant in our industry.
Reporting & Process Improvement
• Prepare, submit, and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales reports.
• Monitor market trends and competitive activity to provide strategic insights to management.
• Maintain accurate CRM data for sales pipeline and metrics.
Work Environment
• This is a hybrid role with both office and field work requiring frequent travel to client sites, networking events, and industry functions.
Travel:
• Local travel within the assigned region is required to support sales efforts, meet with clients, and attend networking events. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.

• Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot, Bullhorn) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Flexibility to travel locally/regionally; a valid state driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• If no 4-year degree, a combination of post-high school education and at least two years of experience in recruiting, staffing, account management, or direct business-to-business sales is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
