Controller

The role:

Ownership of all accounting operations, period close activities, and financial reporting functions, including establishment and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure completeness, accuracy, and sufficient details of financial data are captured systematically to meet the needs of timely management and external reporting, including government fund accounting.

Take lead in system implementation and enhancements that impact the Record to Report cycle across critical business processes including O-T-C and P2P.

Mentor and develop professional capabilities within the accounting operations, revenue accounting, and general ledger teams to ensure adequate and transparent support to internal stakeholders.

Experience with government funding

Take part in other ad hoc strategic and operational initiatives as required.

Ideal Experience

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in accounting and finance leadership exp

Bachelor’s degree; CPA nice to have

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong leadership background

Hands-on leader with strong business partnering experience

Strong analytical skills, coupled with work ethic and sound judgement, and ability to work independently required.

Must be results and detailed-oriented with a passion for improving processes

Must possess excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel.
