Senior Fund Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join a fast-growing private equity real estate fund. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, supporting the financial operations and reporting for a portfolio of real estate investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting, real estate investments, or alternative assets, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day accounting for private equity real estate funds, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and real estate fund reporting standards.

Support capital call and distribution processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Work closely with external fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors to facilitate reporting and compliance requirements.

Maintain and reconcile capital account statements for investors, ensuring accuracy in allocations and financial reporting.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash management for the fund.

Analyze and track fund performance metrics, providing insights to internal stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and best practices to optimize financial reporting and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA preferred.

3+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in private equity, real estate, or alternative investments.

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, investment partnership accounting, and real estate fund structures.

Experience working with fund administrators, auditors, and external service providers.

Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; experience with Yardi, MRI, or Investran is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
