As a CNC Machinist with us, you’re not just running machines—you’re helping shape the future of manufacturing through precision and craftsmanship. Here’s what your day-to-day will involve:
Take Charge on the Floor: Set up, program, and operate Haas vertical and horizontal machining centers, turning centers, and G&L boring bars with confidence and efficiency.
Show Off Your CAM Game: Utilize a CAM system (preferably Mastercam) to create programs that bring complex parts to life.
Create with Precision: Develop machining processes, select tooling, and perform setups to manufacture high-tolerance components—up to +/- 0.005".
Ensure Smooth Operations: Execute progressive machining tasks with accuracy, maintaining excellent finishes throughout.
Inspect with Confidence: Perform quality checks and document results to ensure all parts meet or exceed specifications.
Innovate and Improve: Provide input to enhance machining programs, tooling selections, and workflow processes.
Stay Clean and Safe: Maintain an organized, clean, and safety-focused work environment at all times.
What You Bring
Hands-On Experience: 2–3 years of CNC machining experience, including work on Haas machining centers (vertical, horizontal, or turning) and G&L boring bars.
Programming Knowledge: Solid understanding of G&M code, with bonus points for conversational programming.
CAM Familiarity: Basic programming experience using CAM software—Mastercam preferred.
Blueprint Skills: Able to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and GD&T specs.
Tooling Expertise: Strong knowledge of carbide drills, end mills, inserted cutters, and boring tools.
Material Mastery: Experience machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials, with a grasp on feeds and speeds.
Inspection Proficiency: Confident in measuring parts for length, diameter, flatness, and straightness.
