QA Automation Tester
Onsite: Alpharetta, GA
We are seeking a QA Automation Tester with 2-5 years of experience to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation testing, scripting, and working within Agile environments. This role involves creating and executing automated test cases, collaborating with developers, and improving overall test coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Perform functional, regression, API, UI, and performance testing.
Design and implement test frameworks for automation to enhance efficiency.
Work with development teams to ensure test coverage for new features and bug fixes.
Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
Use CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) to integrate automation tests into pipelines.
Perform basic SQL queries to validate back-end data.
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Continuously improve test processes and automation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
2-5 years of experience in QA automation testing.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium for mobile).
Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
Experience with test management tools (TestRail, qTest, Zephyr, etc.).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
Experience in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
Experience with version control tools like Git/GitHub/GitLab.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in performance testing with JMeter or similar tools.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
Exposure to cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
ISTQB Certification (preferred but not required).
