Tax Accountant

Carter Mackenzie is partnering with a Denver-based telecom firm to help them fill a Tax Accountant role. The organization is going through growth and needs to add an experienced tax professional to its team. This person will report to the Director of Tax who is one of those unique leaders who understands how to bring his people together to meet the financial and operational goals of the company. They value work life balance and have a very collaborative culture.

What you will be doing:

Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local returns.

Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all tax-related deadlines

support tax audits

Conduct tax research and analysis to support the financial goals of the organization

Develop and implement tax strategies

What you need:

Bachelor’s in Accounting

2+ years of experience

Public Accounting experience is preferred but not required.

Experience managing complex tax planning and compliance issues

Ability to work in the office 3+ days a week

Salary: $65-90K + bonus
