Location: Onsite – Englewood, CO (This is not a hybrid or remote role)

A client of NOW CFO, a growing and innovative manufacturing company is seeking a full-time permanent Controller to join their team onsite in Englewood, Colorado. This is a key leadership role within a collaborative, high-performance environment that values independent thinking, communication, and cross-functional teamwork. In this role you would be directly hired by our client.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department, including AR, AP, and general ledger functions

Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategy and business insights

Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the preparation of financial reports and statements

Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Supervise, mentor, and support the accounting team, fostering professional growth

Oversee the monthly close process, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning with organizational goals

Support ERP transition and leverage systems for improved processes

Lead audit preparation and liaise with external auditors

Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices

Support operations, sales, and leadership through financial insights and reporting

Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives across accounting tasks

Must-Have Qualifications

5–10 years of progressive accounting experience

Experience in manufacturing industry

Supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and mentor a team

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred/Bonus Skills

CPA, CMA, or CGMA designation

Experience implementing or working with ERP systems

Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset

Ability to train and develop lower-level staff

Demonstrated ability to improve processes and add value across departments

Effective communicator who can thrive in a cross-functional, team-based setting

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000
