Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Englewood, CO

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract to Hire

Schedule: M-F, 8 Hrs./Day, 40 hours/week.

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in systems integration, DevOps coordination, and full-cycle software development to support advanced aerospace and mission-critical projects. You will be part of an agile, collaborative engineering environment working on everything from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to space exploration technologies.

Responsibilities:

Software Development & Testing

Design, code, debug, test, and troubleshoot software throughout the development lifecycle.

Define, develop, and improve cutting-edge software solutions for complex aerospace systems.

DevOps & Coordination

Coordinate with Senior Software Engineers and DevOps teams to build and optimize a CI/CD pipeline.

Ensure seamless integration and high-velocity release of new software components.

Interface with DevSecOps to guarantee cybersecurity compliance (e.g., code analysis, vulnerability testing).

Systems Integration

Lead systems needs analysis and integration planning within a dedicated system integration lab environment.

Support integration activities across multiple disciplines and components.

Documentation

Create comprehensive systems operation manuals for newly built system capabilities.

Develop detailed test scripts for new system controls and automation.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

10+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.

In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

Experience working in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.

Strong understanding of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools.

Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming languages including C# and Java.

Proficient in Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral development methodologies.

Familiarity with data structures and performance optimization techniques.

Preferred Technical Experience:

Experience with the Atlassian suite including Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.

Expertise in:

Performing code reviews and static analysis

Managing library and artifact repositories

Building out test automation frameworks

Implementing automated build systems
