B2B COLLECTIONS EXPERIENCE MANDATORY!
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled B2B Collections Specialist to join their team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from their office in Concord, NC. As a vital member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing the collections process, ensuring timely payments from business clients, and maintaining positive relationships with the customer base. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in B2B collections, with a focus on professionalism, accuracy, and results.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Collections Process: Oversee the collections process for B2B accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of overdue accounts.
Client Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with business clients to facilitate timely payment resolution.
Account Reconciliation: Identify and resolve billing issues, discrepancies, and ensure proper adjustments to client accounts when necessary.
Payment Tracking: Monitor payment trends, track outstanding balances, and provide detailed aging reports to management.
Dispute Resolution: Proactively manage disputes and collaborate with clients to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and amicably.
Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Finance) to address issues impacting collections and customer accounts.
Compliance: Ensure all collections processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of B2B collections experience is mandatory. Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit management, or related roles is also highly preferred.
Skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to manage difficult situations professionally.
Attention to Detail: Ability to analyze account balances, trends, and discrepancies, with a high level of accuracy.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with collections software (ERP system knowledge is a plus).
Problem-Solving: Strong ability to resolve complex issues and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education: High school diploma required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
