Must Haves:
Minimum 5 years managing end to end Power BI architecture and development, including DAX, connectors, gateways, integrations, admin portal
Minimum 3 years’ experience with data modelling, ETL, data manipulation
Proficiency with SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Server
Expertise in building stored procedures, functions, and triggers
Proven track record of effective data cleansing, standardization, and quality control
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

Day to Day:
The Power BI Solutions Architect will own the end-to-end development of Power BI self-service dashboards. This role will be responsible for leading, developing and managing BI projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. This includes all data modelling, ETL and connections, as well as the development and management of dashboards and integrations. Other responsibilities include:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and define business needs and requirements, translating them into expert dashboard solutions
Collect thorough and complete business requirements from stakeholders and translate these user requirements into a development model and technical specifications for dashboards that will provide complete and accurate insights
Design, create and maintain data models and diagrams for each dashboard solution
Identify, design and develop datasets, ETL processes, connections and gateways needed for PowerBI dashboards
Design, develop, and manage self-service dashboards, visualizations, drill down
Maintain inventory of reports, dashboards, business rules and utilization metrics
Provide data validation and quality control mechanisms in order to proactively manage data quality
Provide technical expertise and recommendations for data management and improvement.
Work with Business and IT to assess efficacy of all legacy dashboards. Develop a migration or decommission plan for legacy assets.
Responsible for upgrades, investigation, troubleshooting, debugging and documentation for reports, extracts, dashboards and cubes as necessary
Continually seek to optimize performance through database indexing, query optimization, stored procedures, etc.
Ensure compliance with data governance and data security requirements.
Provide end user training and prepare related materials to ensure adoption, ease of use, and standardization
Create and manage documentation and change control mechanisms for all technical design, implementations and systems maintenance
