Local Kansas City company is looking for a bookkeeper to assist with the financial operations of the organization. Responsibilities include the preparation and examination of cashflow, statements, and reports for accuracy, providing guidance and support for executives in financial decisions, and long-range planning. The bookkeeper will ensure that the company follows all regulations and laws. In accordance with all company policies, the key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage the monthly financial close process, cashflow planning, as well as ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation.
· Manage monthly credit card and bank reconciliations through QuickBooks.
· Ensure timeliness, quality, completeness of all financial and accounting transactions and reporting.
· Coordinate and manage all tax return data, information, and collation.
· Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
· Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
· Oversee office cost allocation processes.
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· QuickBooks Online experience required.
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or related field is required.
· Applicable Certification is desirable.
· 2+ years of related experience with QuickBooks.
· Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deal with high-volume transactions while maintaining a positive attitude.
· Flexible hours as dictated by the needs of the business for projects and meetings.
