We are looking for a motivated and talented Buyer to develop and execute category strategies & projects that deliver business value.

In this role you will be responsible for one or more categories primarily in the Indirect Procurement buy space (MRO, Lab, Capex, Site & Maitenance Services, FS&RE, Environmental, Mechanical or Electrical & Instrumentation) at regional (EMEA) or global level.

The role will include responsibility for year over year cost savings, continuous improvements in working capital and collaborating with suppliers to support DuPont and Global Procurement objectives on supplier innovation, sustainability and supplier diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

Develops and/or implements category strategies for EMEA in support of the global strategy

Negotiates supply contracts within the assigned Indirect portfolio to achieve savings

Identifies and leads TCO improvement initiatives in close collaboration with the business.

Leads timely resolution of structural issues related to Indirect supply including risk management, performs root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to avoid future incidence.

Leads supplier relationship management initiatives for key Indirect suppliers, including supplier performance assessments using key performance indicators.

Gathers voice of the customer data periodically and incorporates into category strategy and contract negotiations.

Supports actively DuPont and Global Procurement objectives on supplier innovation, sustainability and supplier diversity.

Proficient knowledge of Procurement related processes & policies

Experience or affinity with Indirect categories

Candidate Profile

Bachelor or master’s degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, Economics or Supply Chain

Minimum 3-5 years relevant procurement or supply chain experience

Solid proven experience in negotiation (including terms & conditions)

Proficient knowledge of Indirect Procurement categories

Experience with project management & data analytics tools (Six Sigma, Lean, Excel, Power BI)

Fluent in English is a must (written and spoken). German and French a plus.

CPSM certified is a plus
