Job Description
The Senior Web Developer role is considered an expert in their field. They have spent several years learning and perfecting their skills and are seen as a leader amongst their peers. This role will own specific aspects of the codebase that are key to the success of the business while mentoring less experienced developers to assist their growth. The Senior Web Developer is an excellent troubleshooter and understands how our systems work from end to end. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills as they work with leaders throughout the enterprise to achieve divisional goals.
Requirements
Job Duties
Build strong relationships with aspiring developers by providing mentoring and technical support
Supports management as a key contributor to fellow developer’s performance reviews
Codes 60% of the time and mentors team members for the other 40%.
Make technical decisions that apply to the current and future code base by promoting best coding practices with design and implementation
Participate actively in the code review/release and deployment processes
Upholds coding standards and creates new standards when necessary
Use metrics to identify and create projects/solutions that move the company forward
Take ownership of the design and code of key components of the code base and new company initiatives
Hosts successful sprint refinement and planning as well as owns the daily/weekly sprint board management
Interviews potential developer candidates and participates in the successful onboarding of new hires
Communicate technical information effectively to all levels and divisions of the organization
Provide guidance to project managers when obstacles appear
Stay up to date with relevant technologies and self-educate when necessary

Strong leadership skills
Minimum Requirements
Education
High School Graduate or General Education Degree
Bachelor's Degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent, is preferred
Experience
3+ years of programming experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, SQL, SEO, React, and Docker
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
