Salary

$80,000 plus Superannuation

Duties and Responsibilities

Bricklayers lay bricks, pre-cut stone, and other types of building blocks in mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures. The day-to-day responsibilities of a bricklayer include:

- Studying plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures

- Sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials and spreading layers of mortar to serve as base and binder for blocks

- Laying bricks in rows, designs, and shapes

- Embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar

- Checking vertical and horizontal alignment

Qualification and Experience

- Proven experience as a bricklayer with relevant qualifications (Certificate III in Bricklaying or equivalent)

- At least 1 to 2 years of bricklaying experience

- Ability to work efficiently and independently

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude

- White Card and own transport preferred
