About This JobAs a Payment Operations Associate, you will support Axos Bank’s Commercial Banking payment operations team including support for multi-currency accounts and letters of credit; new account funding related exceptions handling; check positive pay exceptions scrubbing and ACH positive pay operations; interest on lawyer trust accounts (IOLTA); instant payments support for real time payments (RTP) and FedNow; in addition to other operational needs as assigned. You will ensure individual output is at required levels of quality, prioritize assigned workflows, and ensure Service Level Agreements are met.
Key Responsibilities
Manage cross-border remittances and regulatory reporting requirements for multi-currency accounts
Provide operational support related to letters of credit
Provide support for ACH positive pay including comparing disposition reports versus non-post/NSF activities and removal of redundant entries
Provide support for check positive pay exceptions including review of decisions and removal of false positives
Prepare monthly remittances and reporting for state bar associations for IOLTA accounts
Process exceptions and Fed account adjustments as well as handle returns and fraud cases to support instant payments.
Other payment operations support as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
2+ years of payment operations experience at a financial institution
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
Maintain customer confidentiality
Ability to work in a high-volume and process-oriented work environment
English Proficiency (Written and Oral): Medium to high
Work Hours: 8-hour shift between 3am* PT and 4pm Pacific Time. Holiday schedule should align with that of Axos Bank.
*Early morning support is needed specifically for check positive pay exception scrubbing and ACH Positive Pay exception handling
