Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to lead the design, administration, and maintenance of complex databases within a secure client/server environment. This key personnel role involves managing large-scale database infrastructures, ensuring data integrity, and applying technical expertise across multiple database platforms and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all activities related to database administration in a client/server environment

Design, create, and maintain complex databases including access control, validation checks, storage allocation, and performance optimization

Conduct quality control and auditing to ensure accurate use of data

Guide users on proper access to databases and implement security measures

Monitor, tune, and ensure database performance, availability, and reliability

Maintain database dictionaries and support systems integration through effective database design

Apply expertise in database programming, JCL, statistical methods, and data organization

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database strategies with project goals

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access

3+ years of hands-on experience in Relational Database Management Systems

Demonstrated ability to work across various operating systems and additional programming languages

Experience supporting at least two large-scale database projects in enterprise environments

Active DoD Secret Clearance and IT-I Critical Sensitive or Tier 5 (T5) at time of proposal submission

DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
