Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator - Hybrid Role in Annapolis, MD

Hybrid Role - 3 days/week onsite in Annapolis, MD, 2 days/week remote.

US Citizenship or a Green Card is Required

Minimum Qualifications:

Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (Client will require certification #)

Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.

10+ years as a Red Hat System Administrator.

10+ years of experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.

15+ years of Information Technology experience.Required Skills, Experience & Capabilities:

Experience with:

Working in a complex networked system environment with strong networking

Administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems

Administering systems including, but not limited to, the applications below:

Oracle WebLogic Servers

Oracle Database Servers

Progress 4GL/Database Servers/OpenEdge

Apache Web Servers

vSphere hosted RHEL Servers.

Rubrik backup systems.

Oracle Database backups.

PeopleSoft

Mobius

Elastic Search

Oracle OBI

CVS (Concurrent Version System)

Red Hat performance tuning

Load balancing, partitioning, back-up/recovery, and disaster recovery

Working in an environment that requires 24/7 system availability

Application development

Red Hat Support

Electronic Imaging SupportAbility to:

Interface with users and helpdesk for day-to-day support.

Provide Backup/recovery and networking methodologies.

Troubleshoot at the Operating System (OS), database, and application levels.
