Sushi Chef

The Sushi Chef at The Matterhorn is responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing sushi dishes for our guests. Learn our recipes and contribute your own. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in Asian cuisine and sushi preparation.

Responsibilities:

Prepare sushi dishes according to recipes and standards

Create visually appealing plate presentations

Ensure food quality and freshness

Manage food costs and portion control

Contribute your own recipes

The Matterhorn is a lively restaurant and bar located in the premier resort town of Stowe, Vermont. It is known for its wood-fired pizzas, sushi, and creative entrees offered alongside stunning river views. The establishment caters well to all ages and is Stowe's most popular spot for both locals and tourists. It is one of the most well known restaurants in the entire Northeast that is not a franchise. The Matterhorn is open year round and really thrives in the Winter, Summer and Fall. Enjoy all the great activities that Stowe has to offer: premier skiing and snowboarding, mountain and road biking, hiking, fishing, water sports, a great school system, etc. Live in a dream location and become part of the community. Owned by a sole proprieter who is also the manager.Don't get caught up in the corporate lifestyle when you can have a much more personalized relationship with management. The Matterhorn does $750,000 a year in sushi alone but there is plenty of room for improvement.

Salary:

The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
